FAQ's...
Victoria J. McMahon Electrolysis

Does electrolysis work?
Electrolysis works for the client providing the treatment plan is followed. Consistency is the key to effective electrolysis treatments. Hair growth develops at different stages so it is essential the client follows the plan. It takes six to eight weeks for a treated hair to develop from the follicle.

Does electrolysis hurt?
Everyone has a different tolerance level to electrolysis. Certain areas are more sensitive than others. With more advanced technology, equipment and the skill of the technician, electrolysis is more effective and comfortable than ever.

What areas can be treated?
All parts of the body can be treated except mucous membrane ,inside of ears and nasal hairs.

How long are the sessions?
Treatments sessions can last anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour depending on what areas are being treated.

How much does it cost?

Compared to other temporary methods of hair removal razor's and waxing, electrolysis is still the most cost effective method. Electrolysis is an investment in yourself. It provides a feeling of well being and promotes self esteem.

Can Electrolysis treatments be performed during pregnancy?
Yes, but breasts and abdomen should not be treated. As always to be on the cautious side, seek the advice of your Doctor. I always ask for a Doctor's note because some Doctors don't allow treatments.

What's the difference between Laser and Electrolysis?
Laser manufacturers can only claim permanent reduction by the FDA, a regulatory commission whereas electrolysis has been an accepted and proven method of permanent hair removal by the FDA  for well over 100 years.
